Dr. Rebecca Cochrane, DMD, PhD

Dr. Rebecca Cochrane has been practicing family dentistry for 15 years, serving patients in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. A 2002 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Cochrane graduated with honors with a DMD and a PhD in Biomedical Science. She received the Senior Oral Biology and Community Service awards, and was the first University of Connecticut dental student to receive the Dentsply award for research in her first year.

Prior to practicing general dentistry, Dr. Cochrane invested a year in a prosthodontics residency at the University of Connecticut as well as two years in a post-doctoral research fellowship studying osteoporosis/bone biology. While at UConn, she was part of a team that invented a new approach to implant science and holds a patent for a procedure now moving toward clinical trials at the university.

A native of the upstate New York area, Dr. Cochrane graduated magna cum laude from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., with a dual degree in Biology and English.
